The story of my photography...
I am, and always will be, an unapologetic documenter. From a very young age I have always kept a diary. Journalling and scrapbooking makes me really really happy. I struggle with an overflowing "Keep Safe" box under my bed. At university I was the one with the Polaroid camera at every birthday party. I could not be more thrilled to be on guestbook duty at a wedding... In short I have this idea that somehow it is possible to press pause.
After my children were born, I was determined to take really beautiful photos of our family to remember all those tiny details that I love so much. Like most of us, I have my iPhone in my back pocket to grab those every day moments, but I am always so pleased when I make the effort to take my 'big' camera out with me. You'll see in my portfolio of photos that I love colour, light and movement. I always, always have muddy knees and jeans from kneeling down to take photos. I'm crazy about close ups of freckles & eyelashes. Perhaps most importantly, I just enjoy being around people. Whether you're a couple, a family or working on a new exciting project, I look forward to pressing pause for you too. xx
